The scale tunes itself

Auto Filter recalculates the ranges every bar from the average and maximum volume over the period — one indicator works on a liquid future and on a quiet instrument alike, with no manual tuning.

HOW IT WORKS
1Cuts volume into 12 steps

The whole volume range from minimum to maximum is split into 10 steps + a lower one (below min) and an upper one (above max) = 12. Auto Filter recomputes the bounds every bar from the average and maximum volume.

2Colors the bar by its step

A candle's volume falls into its step and takes that step's color — dark bottom of the scale (low) → bright top (high). Choose the view: histogram, rectangle under the candle, or body backlight.

3Climax → zone

Volume lands in a chosen range — the bar is a climax. A zone is built around it: Top = Open, Bottom = max-volume price; direction comes from the candle (bullish/bearish).

4Holds until a double breakout

The zone lives until price closes through it in both directions. A double breakout closes the zone — the level is done.

Price falls through 4 bearish candles, volume fades — sellers run out of steam. Then an abnormal (maximum) volume bar — a climax: a Top/Bottom zone is built around it, off which price bounces up.

Find liquidity levels and catch a reversal on the climax

A trader wants to see where the most liquidity sits — the levels that act as support and resistance — and not miss an abnormal-volume bar, after which price often reverses.

  1. Adds the indicator and enables Backlight Bars — candle bodies are colored by their own volume
  2. Enables Auto Filter so the scale tunes itself to the instrument
  3. Watches where the bright cells glow — these are the max-liquidity bars, potential support/resistance levels
  4. Catches a climax candle at the bottom of a decline: a zone is built around it — a likely upward-reversal point
Result: The trader sees the volume distribution right on the chart, marks key levels by the bright bars, and enters off the climax zone — by color, not by histogram numbers.
